About Hope

Hope is a senior stage management major at Virginia Commonwealth University, easily identified as “the tall girl with bed head at 4 in the afternoon.”

Her theatre credits include Volume of Smoke, Student Voices, When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder?, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Shakespeare in Hollywood, Civil War: A Musical, and Picasso at the Lapine Agile. She was also the production stage manager for Mozart’s The Magic Flute and various opera scenes produced by the VCU Music Department.

She volunteered as stage manager for the children’s theatre program Fox Theatrix, where she helped produce Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan with casts up to 40 children.

This fall, Hope volunteered as a production assistant for the Fall Collection Crown Point Festival in the lower east side of Manhattan. This involved taking a month off of school and living off  peanut butter sandwiches, but she met amazing people and has never been more excited about her upcoming move to New York.

Currently, she is the Assistant Stage Manager of Theatre VCU’s production of Cabaret, opening this spring.

She enjoys Diet Coke, shopping, British literature, and dogs.

Her dislikes include morning classes, Times New Roman, Fox news, and strong, blustery winds.

Upon graduating she intends to move to New York City.
